The resignation of Peter Marks from the FDA is devastating to rare disease communities and any condition dependent on advancements in cell and gene therapy. He was a huge advocate in these areas and knew the importance of approvals saving lives.

I just do not know what to say that wouldn't be extremely inflammatory right now.

All of this is to advance research & therapeutic efforts & shine a spotlight on patients & families living with rare disease

Due to the current state of affairs in our government the FDA-NIH has made an announcement that this year's event has been cancelled. This is devastating to so many people.

Each year the FDA-NIH, a critical cornerstone to advancing and approving treatments for families impacted by rare disease, hold an all day event with a goal bringing advocates together with the two agencies for a day of shared goals and purpose.

Every year on February 28th, 30 million people in the US and 300 million worldwide pause to raise awareness for Rare Diseases. These are the # impacted by rare diseases. Many events take place on & around this day, often focused on increase awareness, legislative advocacy, education, policy.

Eugenics & fascism go hand in hand. White supremacists don’t want disabled people around. We remind them of their fragility. We question their supremacy.

Stand up for disabled people. Fight mask bans, Medicaid & Medicare cuts.
