Oh 1000 yards is tough. At that point you need specific rifles, measure the wind gauge, etc.

So as someone who is former Army…it’s not THAT hard. You definitely need training, but most place the estimate at 200 yards, and Basic Training mandates a minimum of 2 shots from 300 yards.

A former soldier or even just a trained civilian could strike a seated target at that distance.
