Package tracking is a completely confabulated jumble of words to keep me pacified, right? "Arrived at departure airport" great, that part's important. "Scanned at sorting facility" I feel a single dopamine molecule spinning around the active site like a dropped saucer.

Conferences are so much more than learning at talks and workshops: it is meeting other people and sharing experiences, it is hanging out with old friends, it is making new friends... so many things in one...

And today a special shout out to @sebrose.bsky.social for listening when I needed it πŸ’•

People think software development is about writing code. It is not!

It is about:

Communication
Collaboration
Simplicity
Courage
Respect

#agilecam and now, the closing off one gigantic feedback loop.
James Shore, co-author of the first agile book I read, years ago, The Art of Agile Development, and whom I've followed ever since.

Still not back in the habit of live posting from conferences :)

I started the day at a talk by @swardley.bsky.social that I have partly seen before and got new insight once again :)

Next I got new insights in a workshop about using cross-functionality to drive change :)

I always enjoy hearing @tdpauw.bsky.social talk :)

This time he is talking about non-blocking code reviews.

He always provides great insight on technical topics and new ways to get better code quality :)

What code reviews should not be:
* Ways to exercise power - it should be true peer reviews
* Done by seniors missing mentoring skills
* blaming or harming
* a miserable experience
* gate keeping (gates introduce delays)
* a must
