28.09.2025 17:30 β π 94 π 6 π¬ 2 π 0This is presented in a jokey way but honestly it works! I was talking about the rfk announcement shitshow with my (non-autistic) partner, and she was like "there's something weirdly insulting about it too" and I was like "well, it's eugenics" and she got it immediately
27.09.2025 23:57 β π 87 π 25 π¬ 0 π 0What is the text saying about those keywords? Is it building on a greater body of work, or contesting it? Are different parts of the text about different things, with only a part of its argument being relevant to what you want to learn?
Zero traction. "Text is about topic. I am very intelligent."
There's a very old SF story about an attempt to make children learn via subconscious suggestion; they can repeat the phrase "the Nile is the longest river in Egypt" but not answer "what is the Nile?" or "what is the longest river in Egypt?"
This story perfectly nailed how people learn today.
This explains the popularity of LLMs, which can break a text down into keywords, and then the "reader" can say "oh yeah it is about these keywords" and get exactly the same benefit out of the text as if they themselves had read it βΈ» because they cannot draw conclusions with *or without* AI help.
20.09.2025 23:44 β π 117 π 15 π¬ 2 π 3One thing I have noticed is that people cannot fucking Read a Text, which is to say consume a piece of information and then meaningfully integrate what it says into their decision-making from that point onward.
Unrelated to whether or not they remember or agree with it, new info gets no traction.
KIM KITSURAGI - "What is it, detective? Can you make it out?"
BULLET - "if you read this you are gay lmao"
1. "It, um, doesn't say anything."
2. "Transgender ideology. My old foe."
3. [Espirit de Corps - Medium 10] "I think you should read it for yourself, Kim."

14.08.2025 19:40 β π 30 π 5 π¬ 0 π 0You can have story. Or you can have data.
Story is choices. Data is no choices, just more stuff, but presented with no weight, value or sense. Just more.
We are watching the tyranny of the takeover of story - of choice, of taste, of craft, of meaning - by the data people.
Horrible.
The point of all of this The most illiterate men alive were gassing themselves up because the computer had gotten some small degree better at producing dog shit that had the general production values of a circa 2004 video game cutscene. Delighting in the approach of a spiritually and culturally dead future devoid of art and meaning. You do have to admit that a new Narcos season starring Brad Pitt and Mr. Beast and Travis Kelce sounds pretty sick though. There's only one flaw I can see in this supposed AI-generated future of seven fingered bikini babes with death behind their eyes and photorealistic Family Guy pornos: I donβt understand where they think their personalized sense of aesthetics they plan to input into the computer is going to come from down the line when all human artists have been driven out of business. If you want something perfectly tailored 1:1 to your own taste meant solely for you to experience alone you can already do that just by sitting there and thinking about
My thoughts on using "AI" to write.
