Oh right I technically consider kraken but that’s not fair lol. There is also the mosasaurus version of tricera spikey but same issue.

All of these games are still around. Beyblade is doing well right now with the new line, and a lot of unofficial/official tournament support.

We have like 5 which is pretty good compared to some other aesthetics (dragons are gonna always be popular unfortunately), and most of them are also well placed in the meta.

Oh for straight up meta you could run dragoon scale and phoenix wing or hover wyvern if you have it.

Scale Hexa is a pretty solid balance combo, Dragoon Elevate is classic but Level also works well, and Hover Wyvern Kick is also good for smash attack.

It’s still around, it gets a soft reboot every once in a while. The current line Beyblade X is pretty popular and has a lot of official and unofficial competitive scenes.

Yeah I think it’s fine to move onto G revolution. V force has some bit beast lore expansion and some interesting ideas but I don’t think it does enough with them either, whereas G picks up a bit more.

They have largely been what I think will be hasbro releases first, so I assume more will be as dynamic as Griffin over time.

It’s a set so you play until you reach a number of points to take it. One can’t afford to lose their cool at a loss. They have to lock in. But the audience if there is one can pop off.

You can order a left spin winder by itself it’s just exclusive to Takara Tomy at the moment, so it would likely be around 20 USD.

The first two seasons of burst are my favorite beyblade anime so I do think it’s worth checking out. It also has some of the best sakuga of any series, though the story falls a bit for me after season 3. Game wise it has ran the longest so far, but experienced powercreep and regional issues with it.

It’s Griphogila Vartex from Cardfight Vanguard, though it’s a screenshot from the anime

To be fair its a back and forth exchange but it definitely feels the most like the concept of control or stun in tcg, where you’re intentionally drawing the game out to use a slight advantage over your opponent.

It’s not as prevalent in beyblade X, and the one good option has many counters now.

To my knowledge bakuten doesn’t have midfakes, though there were a lot of knockoffs made around that time.

I do think the jp dub at least for the first season is worth it especially for the soundtrack. The dub has a lot of good moments too but after revisiting it subbed those instrumentals were great. It’s not used in the later seasons which did get me to revisit those in the dub largely. Both are good.

Dragoon is pretty standard and good if you can get parts that hold on well. Its biggest weakness is burst risk so you might need some time to get tight enough parts for it

0-80 is also a bit burst prone, I think 9-80 or even stock 3-80 is better personally

Mail is also good, I’d also try 1-60

Shark Scale is the best blade in the game currently and the set it comes with will get you a good number of parts to work with if you go for that.

In my experience it’s a balance of what is generally meta, as well as making changes based on your play environment if you have the information to do so.

The other challenge is that you do have to compensate for some weaknesses pretty heavily here, notably with Tusk and Ghost being so light.

Beyblade X Resources | Linktree All-in-one resource for Beyblade X that'll point to a number of various tools

I think it’s better to look up combo videos and get the gist from how people speak about a combo than to look up videos on how to build in general because I find it easier to intuit with examples for the thought process over a complete guide. This site has some options too: linktr.ee/BXLINKS

If you have money there are a couple of rare beys that match, though there isn’t a third for the deck to my knowledge. There are a few purple options and some that fit one part of the color scheme if you wanted to make that though. Also the stock of these isn’t too good but you can customize them.

It has niche uses for sure, but on the competitive end the gimmick change makes it inconsistent in comparison to what is played more often, and with the introduction of 4-50 and parts that offer low builds, it seems there is an option of being to low, like how popular 70 LR is for attack.

It’s worth checking out the new line BeybladeX if you haven’t. Beys move pretty fast and hit pretty hard, and there are a lot of local spots to play tournaments in worldwide!

The parts are pretty good at least. Wyvern is one of the top attackers in the game and took a lot of matches in the world championship last year. Impact Drake is one of the heaviest UX releases though the rubber kills it’s stamina, but 9-60 and Low Rush are also very strong parts.

08.02.2026 00:40 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

It’s actually not bad if you tune the parts to balance when in it’s normal setting. Otherwise you’re just gambling with the jumps but that’s fun.
