One of my favorite things about painting dark suits like Bod's void suit, is that it gives me so much color to play with. Darks are so good at picking up colors from the surrounding area. It's like a color theory banquet any time I get to paint it up X3!

I feel you, I had been wanting to support friends and other artists back with comms, but yeah, finances had been hard and are getting harder over time.

I had been able to buy some stuff at cons past year but I do really miss getting art of my characters ;v;

Ohuhu seems to be the best one, but it got expensive too now due to the popularity on the tiktok coloring thing, but other less known or generic are now super easy to get , which is really cool for people to try their hand of them for cheaper

Ouch! I have a big box of them and I still feel odd they haven't got dry after almost a decade (I don't use them much, but they were one of my first big purchases), maybe they did change something?
And yeah, now there are a tons of other brand and generics that are as good if not better than copic

Ouch! I haven't seen that brand but I might avoid it, I hate when splotches happen x.x (specially when it's for very light pressure, not ever hard pressing it)

It's just that for all the stuff I always saw other do (and what sold it to me) I wasn't able to do, not sure if it was a formula change or what happens to them, but it was really sad because I love how many sizes they have ;w;

I would probably like Posca more if the coverage wasn't soo watery and poor, I had bought them from a lot of different sources and they always come out like that, not sure if I'm just that unlucky😭

But I got a larger one so I can do light basecoats on wood, soo they aren't 100% useless

I would take them to the convention for quick sketches but the box is big soo, yeah, probably not my most clever idea as I will also be carrying a big lot of acrylic markers

I don't use them very oftenly, heck they had been a good couple of years not seeing use, form which I deduced they would be already dead and dry as bone per instructions.

Nope, they still are pretty well.

Now I did remember that the Copics supossedly had about 3 years of shelf life (unopened).

And then I check my own ones and they are still kicking after almost 10 years, opened, haven't had none of them dry out (thankfully).

I think that was my first big self purchase ever.

Papermate pens are really nice! I used to have a tons of them and loved them dearly, I do have some now but I don't use them as oftenly as the Languo pens for sketching on the go

I think digitally I would say CSP, yes is the program I use and I also like it, but damn the software runs like absolute crap a lot of the times due to the lack of performance (mostly on PC).

I mostly do digital but I lately had been trying to get back into traditional art, even if for small stuff.

for the Posca, pretty much all of the ¨generics¨ I have bought feel better than them, Languo has beeen my favourite so far, they don't have the big big sizes however, so I use my posca only to do base coats, for which they do the job.

The best alt for the Sakura's I have found are these, I think they are only available locally but damn, they don't smudge, the ink is very nice, they used to be less expensive than the Sakura's but now have become more expensive, yet, still worth it if it means not ruining a piece of art.

Art supplies that made you really dissapointed?

I will start, POSCAS and Sakura Micron, for me, all the times i bought them or gave them a chance, they sucked really bad.

Rn I only need 1 work for february to do, then I want to advance as much as I can for march, and what's left for me to do for the convention (mostly button pins and some last stickers, maaaybe mini prints)

A lot fo stuff is already packed soo I'm more relieved now

Really It means a lot to me that people have been willing to wait a bit longer for art due to all the stuff I have been working on, It's makes me feel a bit more calm, specially due to how things are looking over here.
