A note re: Charlie Kirk and the video of his murder. As someone who has spent long years watching some of the ugliest things one could imagine: don't watch it. You don't need to see it. It will cause damage.

I'm remembering why I started disengaging from this site and social media in general right now. It conjures a defeatist attitude in me that just isn't helpful. By disconnecting, and being very particular in my news choices, I can still find the hope and anger necessary to do the work.

I have already placed Jim on a blocklist but I advise you block and warn others. Jim stewartson is a conspiracy theorist and an anti trans anti lgbtq bigot. He also has a long history of working with literal Nazis to target counter extremism experts and academics.
