Since we were traveling at Halloween I forgot to post about these guys that I spent all October crocheting 😅 A Frankenstein's monster, Cthulhu, and Mothman. All following pretty much the same basic pattern (from my head). Cthulhu's wings and Mothman's arms are pretty much the same as well.

Do you have a pic of the red & yellow sail boi on the right? I suspect I had that one as a kid 🥲

Also really nice to be back to our own shower 😀 The water pressure in the hotel shower was abysmal and washing my hair took forever. Would be quicker to shave my head, wash my scalp and then grow my hair back...

Also, I almost fell on my face today. Stepped off the sidewalk and lost my balance, but instead of landing on my hands and knees, I (more or less) accidentally did a sort of wonky judo roll and ended up on my back, both legs straight up in the air 😅 So elegant 💀

Currently in Brighton. Found a board game cafe & store and ended up getting two new games 😀 Seaside because it's been on my wishlist for a long time and we actually set foot on a beach today (gasp!), and Moving Wild because it looks fun and plays 1-6 👌

At a party I once had a stick of celery with dip. Disgusting 🤢

Today, 20 years later, I decided to give celery another try. Made a pasta & chickpea thing with tomato sauce. Chopped carrot, onion & celery as base.

Nope. Celery is still not food 😒

It was good, but I can still smell the celery 😭

The new games this month were Minos, Golem and Stamp Swap (the bg store had a massive sale), and also Everdell Silverfrost. As you can probably tell from the image, Golem and Minos were my favorites of the new ones 😊 I'm getting more and more into heavy euros, I'm even considering a Lacerda next 😅🤯

We also played Keep the Heroes Out a bunch when we visited a friend couple for a long weekend and played with their 11 year old kid. We borrowed a friend's copy of the game (instead of bringing ours), and I don't think he'll be getting his game back any time soon 😂

Board games I played in September. We finally got back to Frosthaven after a two-year break 🫣 The game is a LOT, so when we break it out it tends to stay on the table for days. The map books help a bunch with setup and clean-up, but still.. Took a while to relearn everything. Love the game, though 😊

My boardgame summary from August. Not a bad month overall, but most of these plays happened during the first few days of the month when we had a friend staying for a week (end of July and into August). After that we sadly had to do adult things like work 😩

So, today's episode of Alien: Earth. Overall, I liked it. As expected, the eyeball stole the show. It's amazing and I love it so much 🥰

But the crew, man... Even more incompetent, stupid, useless and insufferable than the Prometheus science people. How did they even get hired by WY?? 🤬

Well, that was very disappointing 🤷‍♀️

And here it is, my lil crochet version of T. ocellus from Alien: Earth 😊 Pretty much life size too, though I don't really know how many eyes it's supposed to have. I counted 7 tentacles and assumed same number of eyes. Though mine has 6 because I wanted to keep an even number 🤷‍♀️

Alien: Earth looks very promising so far. I actually liked the first episode more than the second, I really loved all the setup 👌

The eyeball creature was amazing, though; I need to crochet one ASAP 😆

Never been a fan of songs ending by fading out... Like, when do I stop singing? 🤷‍♀️

So I have my new phone, a big haul of yarn, and a new Tamagotchi currently on their way to me, and was hoping at least *one* of the things would arrive this week 😅 I have plans for the new yarn colors and want to get started on another crochet project asap 😊
