Liz is not only super smart, hard working, and passionate about games... she's also very mindful and caring about the community. Gender alone isn't some magical marker. But having women with perspective on the challenges minorities face as producers and players of games is meaningful and important.

I'm just going to say it - a reason I love announcements like this is...

While gender equality is improving in the industry - it still falls far short from anything representing the community at large. More awesome women in LEADERSHIP positions at publishers? YES!
