I've done the leg work and assessed it as being a mechanical Turk. I'm far from a rabid anti AI for no reason type, I have very specific reasons that I find it frankly vile in its current form.

Now now... I spent a day and downloaded about a TB of LLM models to ring fence and test them offline.
They all fucking sucked hard.. (I'm a professional developer in finance)

I had to know the enemy I was railing against otherwise I'd be screaming from the sidelines in pure ignorance

But to have a reasoned take, I needed to know my enemy so to speak.
All Chinese bots are fucking atrocious running offline, meaning they are absolutely scraping your data to function

I'm quietly reassured that my industry (finance) is taking a very slow and measured approach with LLMs

In utter fairness, you can download the model and run it offline.
Doesn't make it any less shitty though, just protects your data because you can ring fence it

Yep. The most powerful tool in your arsenal is to say no and to stick to your guns, even if you end up losing.
LLMs do not have this feature.. they will always acquiesce and end up generating nonsense just to "seem right"

I'm mentoring a few new developers and my advice is to use it to explain code and write test. NEVER use it to generate your logic, because I 100% will reject your pull requests
