I have the utmost respect for Clyburn so this isn't about him, but for congress especially - there is no way you remain the best person to represent a specific area of people over multiple DECADES. It just isn't logical.

Honestly wasn’t prepared for how lost and out of his depth Chuck Schumer is this interview. Doesn’t seem like he’s absorbed any new information since 2007. I don’t know who Senate Democrats’ best option is, but hard for me to imagine it’s this.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

It’s really interesting to get constantly told that the Democrats don’t need votes from the left as the reasoning for why they’re chasing the center, while at the same time constantly hearing about how the fickle left cost them the election
