A reminder that Memorial Day is a Black holiday.“

5 years since George Floyd’s murder, which allegedly sparked a racial "reckoning", we've seen:
-Increased police militarization
-The banning of Black history & books by Black authors critical of racism
-Rollbacks of promises of fair practices in corporations
-Attacks on equity & justice efforts
Here are actually effective places you can donate to instead of to Harvard (they literally have Billions)
-Temporary housing shelters
-Kids in your neighborhood's school lunch bills
-mutual aids
-food pantries/feeding organizations
-local libraries
-community care organizations
-local scholarships
