The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Read that back.

When 400 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

Agreed. He’s just a little slow in the head sometimes πŸ˜‚

Is Kerkez not his listed 5’11” - cos that’s decent. Frimpong is tiny…

If you think Edwards is just going to sack Slot if the run continues, you’re misunderstanding the club.

Edwards will be talking to Slot about the lineup, tactics, new faces and how it’s turning out compared to our summer plans. He won’t sit around with a blindfold on until the hammer falls.

There are fine margins and multiple changes that make space available again, rather than limited.

I could also see us playing Wirtz as a false 9 (or a 10 behind 2 strikers) and Ekitike/Salah/Isak as the 2 out and out attackers.

We can do this.

Just like there’s a critical mass of issues that lead to a breakdown of a system, it works the other way too.

I can see a world where Grav come back in with a fit Mac and we play last season’s 3 in midfield and start winning consistently again.

That’s why he has that smug grin on his face… so full of himself. Haven’t watched for years and years but HBO keep recommending his stupid show and I see the tile.

I know a woman who has had to work with Bill Maher. I’m not surprised at the stance he’s talking.

The bit on the Israeli clubs is in the second part of the article. Again, as a freelancer, I'm available to write on these political issues in football, which have many strands to them, if any media outlets are interested.

No surprise that this racism comes primarily from Maccabi Tel Aviv and Beitar Jerusalem. I wrote a bit about these clubs, and the difference between them and Hapoel Tel Aviv, last year, here: morningstaronline.co.uk/article/foot...

Yes. There’s certain people who see something one way and treat like fact. I discard a lot when people talk to me about anything from a place of bias. I’m careful when I know I have bias too. It’s the only way to do things well or assess things reliably.

21.10.2025 18:04 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

You’re so caustic and you still harp on about shit you’re just wrong about. One person is not a whole podcast crew and they don’t all share the same opinion. That colors every conversation you have about someone like Grav.

21.10.2025 18:00 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 5    πŸ“Œ 0

Agree with most of what you said. But there’s times when he does have options, movement and opportunities to create space and he doesn’t do it. He will often slow right down while he makes a decision. It’s not his instinct so he has to think more.

21.10.2025 17:54 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

And it’s not a slight on Grav either. It’s not his thing. Because of that, maybe he’s not even asked to do it. Irrespective, it’s the same end result. It’s not in his game and we don’t have that in our progression. We need that from somewhere now we don’t have Trent.

21.10.2025 17:49 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

You keep focusing on how β€œgood” a passer he is. You’ll never see if you don’t look.

He’s an excellent passer. I’m not knocking his ability. What he does with his passes, when and why from the base of midfield. Just watch.

21.10.2025 17:46 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Mattheus played a lot as a deep controlling 6. Wasn’t always box to box. He was great when he played 6. Especially at Milan

21.10.2025 17:43 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I’m not talking about conservative vs risky. It’s not about the long pass or the short pass. It’s about the right pass. He doesn’t seem quick in making this decisions or on using the first pass to construct a second. It’m talking about his head not his feet

21.10.2025 17:34 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

What does β€œgood on the ball” mean? Of course he can weight a sweet pass. He’s got it in his feet. What pass and when and why and what comes after that pass is where it’s not apparent yet. Whereas give him some space and he’ll surge forward in a millisecond.

21.10.2025 17:31 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Short simple passes that moved defenders so he could progress the next pass into space, or so the next player could turn into space . That’s exactly what is not instinctive to Grav.

Sergio Busquets is tapping you on your left shoulder and Matthaus is on the other one.

He threaded a fantastic pass to Gakpo today. Gakpo looks like he gets way more touches in good positions than Mo. That’s not a winning strategy.

19.10.2025 23:15 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Is nothing working for Mo because Mo fucks it up, or cos we can’t get the ball to Mo often enough in good positions? Is Gakpo getting all the ball that we’d rather Mo gets? Is it because he’s playing much better?

19.10.2025 23:05 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I’ve always liked that idea too, but Vish’s better cutting on from the right than dropping centrally from the 9? Given how left footed he is and where he’s used to playing.

19.10.2025 19:48 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I’d start him wide left! But that stat is also loaded cos he’s a sub late in the game when we’re all out attack. It’s not sustainable over 90 and you know that.

19.10.2025 19:26 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

He’s hardly had the ball. When we get him the ball good things happen. In space, amazing things happen. He made the best pass of the game today to Gakpo. If we can’t get him involved, play someone else.

19.10.2025 19:24 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Mmmhmm. Cherry picking biased stat lover!

19.10.2025 19:22 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

He’s not Ngmoha or Doku. It’s not his primary objective. Is he wasting great 1:1s? Is he dribbling instead of making an easy pass? Is he getting boxed in and needing to dribble away but getting a throw in? Does the FB have anyone else to think about? Without context it’s meaningless.

19.10.2025 19:14 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 3    πŸ“Œ 0

What a useless stat

If we had Leoni fit and bought one more. Not enough CBs now. It would help defending zone 14 and would utilize our pacy WBs. Very easy to play Wirtz behind Ekitike, Iasak and Salah then. Any 3 from them and Chiesa would be great. Grav could stretch forward with no worries and Mac/Dom with him.

19.10.2025 18:40 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I don’t know what Slot wanted. I expected more of a progressive passer or a defensive deep passer at LB.
