Pushed by tech vendors & law enforcement, digital IDs are quietly being rolled out without democratic debate or legal safeguards. These systems enable real-time monitoring, data collection, & profiling—further exacerbating existing inequalities in policing & health care access.

Digital IDs (like a driver’s license on your phone) are being used to verify identity both IRL & online—posing a growing threat to privacy. As more people are forced to cross state lines for abortion or gender-affirming care, each step could become a data point for surveillance👁️

The DC Council recently decided to overturn the will of voters, repealing a crucial law that would have ensured tipped workers received the full minimum wage by 2027—showing blatant disregard for tipped workers AND overwhelming support from voters who backed the measure twice.

The budget bill requires certain Medicaid enrollees to meet work or volunteer reporting rules just to qualify for health coverage. These changes put millions at risk of losing access to the care they need.

Today marks 60 years of Medicaid, a program that has transformed access to care for millions. But instead of honoring that legacy, Republicans in Congress passed Trump's budget bill last month, gutting Medicaid & imposing burdensome work reporting requirements intended to kick people off.
