The Trump administration just proposed a cruel rollback of reproductive care at the VA by reinstating a near total abortion ban, even in cases of rape or incest.

Digital IDs Put Health Care Privacy at Risk Digital IDs threaten to expand government power to police people’s movement and medical care; this is particularly concerning as more people cross state lines to get necessary health care.

From ICE facial recognition to “abortion bounty” laws, surveillance is already criminalizing care. Without legal safeguards, these digital ID expansions could fast-track total pursuit of our bodies & movements. We must demand guardrails, limit tracking, & expand protections for all.

Imagine needing to verify your identity just to access health info about abortion or gender-affirming care. Digital IDs could enable states to block, track, or punish access to medical info online—expanding the surveillance dragnet already in place.

Pushed by tech vendors & law enforcement, digital IDs are quietly being rolled out without democratic debate or legal safeguards. These systems enable real-time monitoring, data collection, & profiling—further exacerbating existing inequalities in policing & health care access.

Digital IDs (like a driver’s license on your phone) are being used to verify identity both IRL & online—posing a growing threat to privacy. As more people are forced to cross state lines for abortion or gender-affirming care, each step could become a data point for surveillance👁️

Why So Many Women Are Quitting the Workforce Labor force participation among women has started falling again in 2025.

“Women still take on the lion’s share of caregiving responsibilities, and they are more likely than men... to feel that they have to leave the workforce when their balancing act becomes unmanageable.”

D.C. Council’s compromise on tipped wages undermines voters’ will, advocates say The council’s budget amendment will modify Initiative 82, which voters passed by an overwhelming majority in 2022.

The DC Council recently decided to overturn the will of voters, repealing a crucial law that would have ensured tipped workers received the full minimum wage by 2027—showing blatant disregard for tipped workers AND overwhelming support from voters who backed the measure twice.

Medicaid Work Reporting Requirements Would Harm Women’s and LGBTQ+ People’s Health and Economic Security to Fund Tax Breaks for the Rich - National Women's Law Center In 2018, the Trump Administration attempted to radically change Medicaid by allowing states to impose “work requirements” for Medicaid enrollees. Not only was this act unprecedented and unlawful, it threatened the very health and economic security of women, families, and LGBTQ+ people by obstructing access to Medicaid through confusing and administratively burdensome work reporting requirements. Medicaid helps people stay healthy, hold jobs, and avoid medical debt. Cutting access won’t reduce poverty—it will deepen inequality.

We must protect and strengthen Medicaid, not gut it. Learn more:

Medicaid already covers the poorest and sickest women, most adults with HIV, and provides millions with access to contraception. Decimating Medicaid puts lives in danger.

Our latest fact sheet shows how work requirements disproportionately harm women, LGBTQIA+ people, and caregivers—especially those managing unpaid labor, disability, or discrimination. Medicaid is their safety net, and the budget bill unravels it.

The budget bill requires certain Medicaid enrollees to meet work or volunteer reporting rules just to qualify for health coverage. These changes put millions at risk of losing access to the care they need.

Today marks 60 years of Medicaid, a program that has transformed access to care for millions. But instead of honoring that legacy, Republicans in Congress passed Trump's budget bill last month, gutting Medicaid & imposing burdensome work reporting requirements intended to kick people off.

Her actions aren’t just a failure of leadership—it’s all part of the Trump administration’s broader strategy to weaponize the EEOC’s mission and roll back decades of progress for queer and trans workers, women of color, and others who face discrimination.

As current acting chair, Andrea Lucas has directed the EEOC to stop investigating claims of gender identity discrimination, completely abandon trans & nonbinary workers in the middle of litigation, AND pressured businesses to stop pursuing diversity, equity and inclusion programs.

Tell your senator to vote NO on Andrea Lucas’ nomination. We must stop Andrea Lucas from leading the EEOC!

Yesterday, we sued the EEOC for refusing to investigate claims of gender identity discrimination, a clear abdication of its responsibility to protect EVERY worker.

Now, the Senate is rushing to confirm Trump’s anti-worker pick to lead the EEOC, Andrea Lucas.

This is a crucial victory for the 1.1 million Medicaid patients who rely on Planned Parenthood—but the fight is far from over.
