๐๐ช๐ข๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ด๐ข ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ฐ๐ต๐ข๐ฆ is a #non-bitingmidge (Diptera: #Chironomidae) found in glacial & high Arctic environments. At the Society of Spanish Researchers in the United Kingdom (#SRUKCERU) we've been doing our own #Inktober (with a #scientific twist). I submitted these two drawings of #aquaticmacroinvertebrates! They are very cool bugs! Word: STING. Giant Water Bug (๐๐บ๐ฅ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ค๐ช๐ณ๐ช๐ถ๐ด ๐ค๐ฐ๐ญ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ฃ๐ช๐ข๐ฆ)

Yesterday, I volunteered for @thames21.bsky.social taking #water samples at 2 locations on the #river Brent. They want to compare the analysis of samples taken by #citizenscientists (measured with Hannah checkers) with lab results. It was fun! & I met one of their volunteers who lives very close ๐งช๐ฆ
