Maybe Rivals isn't eligible or something (it launched the week before the last awards IIRC?) & it's popularity has fallen off amid shifting metas but still, probably one of my favorites of the year.

E33 still clears it though, but it's an honorable mention for me.

The only other game that makes sense to me is Marvel Rivals, for simply reinvigorating the Hero Shooter genre with it's massive suite of heroes & crazy abilities (Stuff like permanent flight & portals were taboo) even hardcore OW fans are glad it's made Blizzard roll out some changes to keep up.

I saw people talking up game of the year contenders on the other site & having recently finished Expedition 33 (finally beat Simon!) I would be shocked if that didn't win.

It simply checks all the boxes of what I want in a game, even if I don't love the ending as much as I did the journey there.

It made an almost everyone lives ending even better for me, since Graham was a favorite of mine (as deeply flawed as he is).

Just so you know, in some soft-sequel/sidestory stuff they bring back Graham to pilot the re-repaired Exia which is such a funny little cap on his character.

You have nothing but my respect.! I would need to lose a good chunk of weight to get back into my first cosplay (Lockon from Gundam 00) but you're killing it as Tifa!

Could just be I rolled well on RNG though. But at least this time it seemed to help me.

I was told the trick is to open the website early, add an item to your cart as soon as the time ticks down & then immediately check out with one page. Then once you're in the queue in one tab you can add your other stuff to your cart in other tabs. This time my wait time is way lower than for FF.

Additionally, has anyone ever pitched global warming as Hell being overfilled with the souls of the damned in a story or something? Seems like it'd be a cool urban fantasy plotline or setting element or something.

So I was commuting today & was practicing menacing lines to say in different voices (perfectly normal GM stuff) & I said to myself something along the lines of "Hell is already overflowing, can't you feel the heat?"

Partly because nostalgia but also he sorta highlighted Xavier's hypocrisy. He recruited the guy molded into a weapon to help him sure but also did that so he could do the team's dirty work. But Logan ends up being a good measuring stick for the rest of the team morality in spite of that.

A very simple thing you can do is stop linking to the NYT.

I know they do some good reporting but they are also actively upholding facism and working to subvert democracy and shaping your world view.

It is more work but it is better if we start starving harmful institutions.
