A bit less SUFFERIN' coming to DUFFERIN

I found exactly one qp library, and it's a port of an R library, and the port is so direct that it forces you to use 1-indexed arrays even in JavaScript. It also needs you to make a big matrix for it to solve. So qpsolver will make those matrices and pass it to that solver for you!

I tried whipping something quick up this morning: drawing some lines over a map screenshot to show how many cars vs buses you need. editor.p5js.org/davepagurek/... Not the prettiest, need to double check that all the math is right, but maybe some inspiration!

In 1999 I made a vector diagram of the Great Lakes for a textbook. It had 3 gradients, no texture, and one typo: “Niagra.”

It’s now the most famous thing I’ve ever made.

definitely! I feel like maybe spring/damper systems could be the thing I'm after when paired with a second layer that alters the target to optionally add anticipation and maybe secondary continuous motion.

I would argue that there's so many ways (due to subtle variations) that I'd prefer making a system with some knobs to tweak rather than individual functions! but you're right, that's still a really effective way to go, and practical

I wrote about easing functions, my dissatisfaction with them, and possible routes towards a slightly better system because I keep be not having time to actually MAKE a slightly better system. maybe someone else also is unsatisfied and gets an idea from this? www.davepagurek.com/blog/easing-...
