🗣️ Post-implementation, individual testimonies and the voice of the pharmaceutical industry increased, while civil society organizations' presence decreased. This shift may frame PrEP as a personal rather than community-driven tool. 💬

📊 Analysis of 4 major newspapers (El Pais, La Vanguardia, El Mundo, and ARA) reveals a shift from hopeful to risk-focused narratives once PrEP was made available in Spain. Media coverage predominantly linked PrEP to cis-men, with limited mention of cis-women and trans-men. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

I am very happy to share my last publication: an analysis of the representations of the PrEP in the Spanish press in the period 2018-2023, with the aim of understanding why despite its high efficacy, PrEP adoption remains low due to barriers like stigmatization. 📉
