This tweet aged gracefully. In 2021 I was asked to do NFTs. 4 weeks of work for $1 million. I got harassed for months by cryptobros for saying no. The project went ahead without me and the offer was legit.

NFTs were and are a grift, peddled by the same techbros as AI

genAI is morally wrong and disrespectful to the creatives in your life as long as the models are built with material stolen from unconsenting and uncompensated writers and artists

there are a bunch of other reasons why it's bad - it's a rich tapestry - but that first one should be enough on its own

If you're using AI to write essays, eulogies, a text to your wife, I do think less of you as a person. Ceding your mental and creative abilities to a machine is an embarrassing thing and people should be ashamed to admit doing it in public.
