Still optimizing the lighting for performance, I added blob shadows to the characters and assets. I honestly thought about that before I installed the 5090. Keep the 3080 in there as a perfect test case for performance. I do still have it but I can sell it for $700 on eBay

This plugin helped me out, i had to mess with the materials a bit on my end. I want to look at the ZOrder of the widgets to see if I can give off some more depth to the UI elements but this plug-in helped me out for what I wanted to do.

They all live in the Master Hud widget, i get the enemy's world location and it projects it onto the canvas panel of the Master Hud through a tick connected to a timer event.

After a few weeks I figured out how to get the player to render on top of #UI widgets. I want the weapon to be the #Hero like in the #PS2 game #BLACK but #Arcade style. Need to cleanup the blueprints but it's working! I also updated the enemy hits to be a tad more bloody. #UE5 #Unreal #Widget #Art

I decided to shelf this issue. The render target eats up a lot of performance I just noticed. It's just UI widgets. You can't mask them like in after effects this easily. I did get the render on top work but you can tell it's on top of each other. I appreciate the help on this.

Yea I was curious about that as well. I turned off everything except skeletal meshes and on the construction scrip, I only put the players mesh and pistol (show only). It works fine. Just I need to get the material to be a transparent cut out to mask the UI. I hope it's possible.

I'm working on getting the hands / pistol to render on top of the UI #Widget. I have a material working from a render target but if I put this material on a widget, the white still renders on top but the masking works.
