additionally, as someone who loves touhou but was previously unused to shmups, i highly recommend Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom for anyone who wants to work on their skills. the checkpoint system is great for basically drilling yourself on the things you struggle most with.

imo, creativity is a skill in its own right. i don't think it's necessarily either like... you have it or you don't. some people prob have a certain spark that makes it easier, but it's a muscle that you need to exercise, and it feels stiff and painful at first if you haven't kept up with it.

had a very stupid dream that was just me working at my computer on the next volume of [contract work project] and it involved the line "He wanted that twink obliterated...gently." which is only mildly amusing out of context but stupidly hilarious with context. which sadly i cannot provide atm.
