The article was published a month before the launch of the Enterprise-D. In traditional POPULAR MECHANICS fashion, some details are omitted or altered for brevity or national security. ;)

As a complete package, the Trafalgar doesn’t do anything, but I do really dig how they gave each pair of nacelles a single bussard collector grill. I think the original Atlas would have looked great with a similar approach.

I embarrassingly admit that it took longer than it should have to cotton onto what you were doing. Luckily the indignation was replaced with reason before I opened my mouth and crammed my whole foot in.

Continuing the thought from earlier about Shadow of Kerensky, having access to omnimechs early on (play it straight the first time, then have fun on the second playthrough) really alters the dynamics of early missions. They feel less like pitched battles as they do executions. 1/2
