I know of the other one, where you can feed fish, but I didn't know there was one on this side as well. Good photo spot!

01.06.2025 14:36 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Oh wait, is the JN1 vaccine available for everyone now? I thought it was only for elderly people (65 and up). If so, that's great!
26.05.2025 14:20 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It's funny how verbatim the vocabulary already is between the PRC and the KMT... "Green Terror" and the accusations of authoritarianism. Even more ironic coming from the PRC.
16.05.2025 07:34 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Neither the Cairo nor the Potsdam declaration affirm the PRC's souvereignity over Taiwan...
16.05.2025 07:33 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I think it also matters WHICH kind of cars. Taiwanese like SUVs, and there's also occasionally people with pickup trucks. Probably US influence.
In Japan, there's a high prevalence of smaller, more efficient cars, that are more practical for narrower roads and back alleys.
Wish Taiwan would more learn from the kei car culture of Japan, smaller, more efficient and better suited cars for narrower denser cities, not huge honking SUVs and even sometimes pickup trucks. WTF are you gonna do with that in that little back alley.
06.05.2025 06:53 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Considering the masses of cars, esp SUVs, that move around (also extremely annoyingly, because Taiwan is really cramped, it's not like the US), I would say there's way too many cars, but also still a ton of scooters as well.
06.05.2025 06:52 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0What fascinates me about abandoned places like this is that I wish I could see how those buildings looked like when they were still inhabited.
05.05.2025 02:40 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Because scooter parking is cheaper and more convenient. I don't drive a scooter but I'm always envious, scooter drivers always find somewhere to park, and in many parking spaces it's even free.
It's nothing to do with living standards.
That start date is so tonedeaf, it spells KMT all over it.
30.04.2025 03:55 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I remember MAGA sh1theads who were saying stuff like, "It's just for demonstrating what the symbols mean, only stupid people would think the letters are actually tattooed on his hand", and then Trump goes and says "the letters are actually tattooed on his hand".

14.04.2025 06:21 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I love how the Taiwan tabletop/board games scene is both vibrant and active in both playing and designing games. There's also a lot of board games cafes around.

Been testing the new Nikon ZF firmware 2.0 with improved bird detection.
I just noticed that this bird was carrying a baby bird... got me wondering, is it its own (dead) baby or did the bird snatch another bird's?

I think unpaid gigs in Taiwan - like if you perform for free (even just for fun can be a risk!) or are interviewed on a TV show - should generally not fall under commercial activity.
07.04.2025 07:49 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It's not immigration status. People who come here and just do a performance for free on stage, could get permanently barred from entry because even performances without earnings count as "commercial activity".
There's an urgent need to fix that, it's unreasonable and easy to fall into that trap.
I've seen programmers put together a playable rough with temp assets of most genres within days that can act as a basis for further development and playtesting. I can't think of any game genre or type where you would actually need a full 6+ months to get anything remotely playable.
27.03.2025 09:50 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Maybe it's just me but I do think ad designers should maybe take into account how the thing the ad is on looks like in detail.
Like where all the turn signals are and so on.

25.03.2025 09:36 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The remote controlled car of my 5yo daughter only runs on 2 AA batteries, why do Teslas need huge batteries that are fire hazards <- similar logic.
24.03.2025 02:08 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐
