Today we had Alexey Kushnir (Moroccan Game Theory Center) at our seminar series. Together with his co-author, they propose a pseudo-market mechanism w/ relevant properties to solve course allocation problem. Moreover, their simulation suggests that it outperforms the benchmark model. #econsky

Sequential creation of surplus and the Shapley value We introduce the family of games with intertemporal externalities, where two disjoint sets of players play sequentially. Coalitions formed by the pres…

We introduce a cooperative model w/ two stages where the coalition structure in the present influences the worth of coalitions in the future. Adapting the classic Shapley axioms to this framework doesn't single out a solution. We propose two values and study them axiomatically tinyurl.com/extshapley

In the problem of fair distribution of an homogeneous resource given the demands of the agents, we study the incentives of the participants to either merge or split their claims, provided that some specific rule is going to be applied. #ClaimsProblems #FairDivision #GameTheory

The essential coalitions index in games with restricted cooperation - International Journal of Game Theory We propose a new power index, which we call the essential coalitions index. The index is defined on the class of simple games with cooperation restricted by a cooperation index, which encompasses othe...

In this paper, Martí introduces a new power index called the "essential coalitions index" for games with restricted cooperation. Moreover, a normalization of the essential coalitions index generalizes the Deegan-Packel index to restricted games. For the full paper: link.springer.com/article/10.1...
