FBI director says arrested judge for obstructing immigration operation
FBI Director Kash Patel on Friday said federal agents arrested a Wisconsin judge on obstruction charges in a message Patel posted on X and later deleted.
Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, and now the United States.
Autocrats always go after judges first because judges are the last line of defense for rule of law and due process.
We cannot let this stand.
Protect judges and constitutional judicial independence.

We continue to stand with Judge Dugan against yet another authoritarian attempt to silence dissent, punish dissenters, and intimidate everyone else from ever joining them. Obstructing fascism is our duty, not a crime.

Just NOW, the FBI arrested Judge Hannah Dugan out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on charges of obstruction β after evidence of Judge Dugan obstructing an immigration arrest operation last week.
We believe Judge Dugan intentionally
misdirected federal agents away from the subject to be arrested in her courthouse, Eduardo Flores Ruiz, allowing the subject β an illegal alien β to evade arrest.
Thankfully our agents chased down the perp on foot and he's been in custody since, but the Judge's obstruction created increased danger to the public.
We will have more to share soon. Excellent work @FBIMilwaukee.
Through all his troubles, neither the DOJ/FBI nor any state authorities ever subjected Donald Trump to arrest, preferring in every case to proceed by indictment and voluntary surrender. Itβs notable that a sitting judge and pillar of the Milwaukee community was not extended the same courtesy.

The two-page memo, which was obtained by The Associated Press, does not allege any criminal conduct by Khalil, a legal permanent U.S. resident and graduate student who served as spokesperson for campus activists last year during large demonstrations against Israelβs treatment of Palestinians and the war in Gaza.
Rather, Rubio wrote Khalil could be expelled for his beliefs.
He said that while Khalilβs activities were βotherwise lawful,β letting him remain in the country would undermine βU.S. policy to combat anti-Semitism around the world and in the United States, in addition to efforts to protect Jewish students from harassment and violence in the United States.β

BBC took live an announcement from European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen on Trumpβs tariffs, while Fox News, MSNBC and CNN all had regular programming.
Itβs not really surprising, but maybe speaks to why the U.S. is in this position. Other countries donβt really exist.

I don't expect any of our major media outlets to acknowledge this outright, but this is the thing: These aren't 'steep' tariffs, these are _insane_ tariffs. These are 'nobody in the White House understands decimal points' numbers. It speaks to total economic illiteracy _throughout the White House_.

Just figured out where these fake tariff rates come from. They didn't actually calculate tariff rates + non-tariff barriers, as they say they did. Instead, for every country, they just took our trade deficit with that country and divided it by the country's exports to us.
So we have a $17.9 billion trade deficit with Indonesia. Its exports to us are $28 billion. $17.9/$28 = 64%, which Trump claims is the tariff rate Indonesia charges us. What extraordinary nonsense this is.
james surowiecki has discovered where the completely fabricated trump tariff rate has come from for each country
"...for every country, they just took our trade deficit with that country and divided it by the country's exports to us."
