As a trade unionist who lives in Baltimore--yes. This was a huge part of the interest in the story for me. Flint MI = Wrexham. Decatur, IL = Wrexham. Baltimore = Wrexham. Good people trying hard to push it out despite the odds. What's not to love? You're either for the underdog or you're an asshole

I have to say--not a natural sports fan. One thing about Wrexham fans is how gracious and welcoming the lifelong fans have been to newbie fans like us. The world is full of Wrexhams--forgotten towns, left for dead. They all deserve more. Seeing it happen to Wrexham fills me with joy. #COYR #UTST

I had just finished Ted Lasso, which re-ignited my interest in ⚽⚽, & I saw FX was premiering W2W. I thought "oh, bonus football show with these two doofuses". I fell in love with the town, then the team, & last summer went to Wrexham (we were visiting London anyway). I catch every game I can.

I continue to think that one of the reasons this country is falling apart is the wholesale abandonment of public virtue as a broadly shared aspiration. Or even something people should be embarrassed about if they don’t have it.

I'm not sure how much longtime wrexham fans know that following the adventures of the lads and the town are and having something important to root for are bouying the spirits of a lot of newer fans who are otherwise pretty upset and angry. so grateful for the club and its legions of supporters.
