That, right there, is the problem.
Peak rail fares scrapped on ScotRail trains.
Scotland also has:
Public ownership of water, lower water bills than England's.
No university tuition fees for local students.
No prescription charges, abolished in 2011.
No two child benefit cap from March 2026.
England must follow.

Image from the Financial Times, placing Keir Starmer next to Enoch Powell.
Starmer's language was deplorable.
It was grotesquely offensive, accusing people who have brought their gifts to this country of doing "incalculable" "damage"; & politically foolish, in endorsing Farage's claims of an establishment conspiracy.
But bad analogies with Powell miss the key problem. ๐งต
We have a desperate shortage of care workers. This has a catastrophic effect on the NHS too.
Labourโs decision to close the care worker visa scheme for overseas recruitment is appalling, kneejerk politics that - yet again - will penalise the most vulnerable.

A private equity firm just bought ยฃ1.6 BILLION worth of the NHS.
It will make bigger profits by hiking rents for hospitals and NHS facilities. Previous govts privatized the estate.
That means less money for frontline healthcare. NHS already drained by PFI and private contractors.
When 2,800 jobs were being lost in Port Talbot, this UK Government chose not to consider nationalisation.
Now in Scunthorpe, everything is on the table.
Labour must now explain to the people of south Wales why their jobs werenโt worth saving.
Keir Starmer says โall options are on the tableโ for Scunthorpe โ rightly so. But when Port Talbot faced crisis, those options were nowhere to be seen.
Labour mocked Plaid Cymruโs call for nationalisation in Wales.
