The Format broke up forever ago, tried to do reunion shows (scheduled for March 2020) and cancelled them, then out of nowhere a few months ago announced shows. Yesterday they also announced a new album and played on the Tonight Show. I'll be seeing them for the 1st time in like 18 years Friday.

I just rewatched it on Sunday night, wife saw it for the first time and spent half the movie laughing. She started calling people diesels when we went to Costco the next day.

He's a Beaver, through and through (according to the broadcast he went to American River College, a junior college whose mascot is...wait for it...the Beavers)

Grandparents met there and moved back when I was young for a few years. They took in all the grandkids for the summers when they lived there, always had a blast. Watched a LOT of El Paso Diablos games.

First date, took her to go see Reign Over Me (it was a compromise, she had plans to see The Number 23 with friends and the other options weren't any better). Who knew 9/11 survivor trauma would lead to 11 years (and counting) of marriage? NOT THIS GUY

Since others are throwing songs out there, here's a cover of an XTC song by one of my favorite bands. I didn't even hear the original until a couple of years ago.

My mom and I really got into the PKL when ESPN+ would air it, but I guess they didn't want to keep doing that so without a VPN there was no way to watch it in the states. If they don't air them next season I'm gonna make the effort, I missed it this season.

My store (not a union store) put up a signup sheet for volunteers to help "cover shifts" if/when the strike begins at another nearby store. Worded it in a way that a friend of mine signed up until I explained the situation.

It always looked washed out on my TVs w/HDR and would cause my Roku to overheat, so I just use the DirecTV app w/my parent's login and watch it at a (presumably) lower quality where colors still exist

In Sacramento I'm still getting bombarded with ads telling me about how the California legislature is going to jack up the price of gas (watching via streaming services) sometimes 2-3 times in a row per commercial break, across multiple platforms (ESPN, NBC Sports, Peacock, etc).

Threw my back out picking up a piece of paper at the beginning of my work shift. Managed to stupidly finish the heavy lifting part of my shift stocking my department before telling my manager I couldn't keep going. Spent the next 3 days mostly in bed struggling to stand up straight.
