UPDATE: Staff at the ICE concentration camp in Dilley, Texas have begun raiding the dormitories of kids and their parents to confiscate and destroy letters from the children. This is in response to the ace reporting by @micarosenberg et al for ProPublica:

Are you worried about the return of horrific infectious diseases like polio and diphtheria? (You should be.) HERE IS WHAT YOU CAN DO: HHS Secretary RF Kennedy just fired all of ACIP, the CDC committee that makes vaccine recommendations. This sets the stage for him to appoint people who could eliminate essential vaccines from the children’s immunization schedule, preventing insurance from covering them — inviting the return of diseases not seen in decades. FORTUNATELY, Congress has the power to pass a law that changes how ACIP members are selected and how vaccines are recommended. Kennedy should not single-handedly decide what vaccines are accessible, but he can currently appoint people to do that and may be able to refer those decisions to non-ACIP members because so much vaccine policy is based on administrative norms, not statutes (laws). BUT YOU CAN ASK CONGRESS TO PASS A LAW TO CHANGE THAT IMMEDIATELY. SO, you can call your U.S. senators and representatives and mail HANDWRITTEN letters to their offices expressing your fears of new outbreaks and harm to your children/grandchildren/nieces/nephews/students. Demand that they take action to codify in law how vaccines are recommended so that a single HHS Secretary cannot undo all our progress in vanquishing diseases and that they tell Trump how this decision could reflect on him. (Remember Trump DOES care about his image and popularity.) Remind them that an outbreak on Trump’s watch will be called the “Trump polio outbreak” and the “Trump meningitis outbreak.” Make Kennedy a political LIABILITY to them, and demand they take action.

Millions face losing health insurance under Republican proposal CBO documents reveal that if enacted, the proposed subsidy rollback would strip coverage from millions, particularly hitting low-income adults.

The proposed #Medicaid cuts would result in at least 8.6 million people losing health coverage.

That number could jump to 13.7 million by 2034 if the ACA enhanced premium tax credits expire at the end of this year, according to the Congressional Budget Office.
