LET'S DO THIS: spot.fund/k7g9nj4sc.
No one in NM can do the surgery. They have to go up to Colorado. His recovery will be 4-6 WEEKS. INPATIENT.
Mama has to be there with him the whole time. No, Ronald McDonald Houses won't help; she already checked.
And now, tonight's local urgent needs.

He's THREE.
His surgery is Feb. 26.

Most people can't really get their heads around how many people 80,000 actually is.
This is an abomination.
What sucker keeps "demanding" that ICE do what they should already be doing - following constitutional law - and most blatantly in-your-face obviously not doing? Well, I guess we have our answer.

The presence of clouds clinging to the peaks suggests dawn fog, too, but again, depending on conditions, all of that can happen at dusk. Either way, it feels like the gentle kiss of Father Sun upon the face of Mother Earth, whether to rise or to rest.
10.02.2026 05:09 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It's most likely to happen around this time of year, when the sun rises behindPueblo Peak's east/southeasterly slope. It's slightly south of east, and for a few moments, if conditions are just right, its rays can touch the range's more northeasterly slopes, those facing south and west, with color.
10.02.2026 05:09 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0 I would have assumed it was an error, either a label meant for another shot entirely or one that was applied without really looking at it.
But then I looked again.
And this phenomenon, one we think of as sunset's? It's more rare, but it does occasionally occur at sunrise, too.
But this photo was labeled "Dawn." it was, as noted above, one that Wings shot on film; I digitized as many of those from that period as I could back in early December of 2007, but that means the metadata apply to date of transfer, not creation
10.02.2026 05:07 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Or it was common, anyway. But it's a phenomenon that requires actual winter, which we no longer have. We certainly had none of it today, with temperatures and trickster winds more suited to late April.
10.02.2026 05:07 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Normally, I would have assumed that it's evening; at this time of year, it's common, especially in the presence of clouds and/or snow, for the last rays of the setting sun to cast the east and northeast mountains, and the sky above them, in a gentle rose and lilac glow.
