I'm trying to take Kiddo out for a NORMAL, CALM outing tomorrow and could use maybe just 5 even to get them a keychain or something while out.

I know it's been ages, but a lot has happened. Please bear with me.

First, and most recently, Kiddo and I have been subjected to domestic abuse (gun violence; we are fine, ex is physically fine as of this moment, none of us are mentally ok right now though. Will explain.)

Insurance has moved us to start work on the house, but there's a dead tree that needs removing. It's 500+ through a company, and I'm trying to find local volunteer orgs who could help. Any help there is appreciated.

The move was stressful, but it was about 3 weeks ago.

Last week, ex dealt with a very, very bad mental break. However, he mad an unsafe decision and pulled a gun on himself, cocked it, and put his finger on the trigger.

It's traumatized the hell out of Kiddo. He cannot safely return home.

The wishlist with the chainsaw ALSO has cheap groceries. We have to be gluten free, and that can get costly. I am trying my very hardest right now to manage Kiddo's nightmares, panic attacks, constant jumping at sounds, and feeling unsafe when not in the same room together.

I am working hard.

Ex pulled out a firearm, cocked the gun to load the chamber, and put his finger on the trigger in front of our child while screaming so loud we had to cover our ears to stop the pain. Kiddo fled, screaming bloody murder, and we ran around the outside of the house while calling 911.

While on the phone with emergency services requesting a mental health unit, ex came OUT and began chasing us around the house slowly but steadily. We ran back inside, attempting to lock him out, but he came in through an unlocked door before we could get to that one (we fled thru side door).

This is...eye-opening and terrifying.

Please, I am seeking community support for immediate needs and, perhaps, some warmth from anyone who's been through this.

This is what I try to always tell people: food banks can do way more with your money than you can, due to bulk buying deals. And they can do way, way more with your money than with the canned goods you didn’t want to eat
