And as much as people like to meme on the GG's battery life...the 3 hours you can get out of the Game gear is the BEST case scenario out of the nomad (only getting 2-3 hours)

The only problem with Akane is that since they're on Maxie they ended up getting greeted as Maxie by hosts that has never seen the Cybermare before, but it is what it is XD

To be honest, I like the NPC Koraidon that you get at the start that unlocks new movement tech as you go through the Titan storyline in Scarlet. I'm fine with former HMs being regular ass TMs now as now I can just ignore Flash XD

But yeah, just saying that the removal of Set/Switch wasn't the worst thing that S/V did, but I will give that some of the decisions in S/V were a bit half baked like the open world concept (as there's still a strict through line that requires you do all 3 routes at the same time for best experience

That game is DDR Extreme USA. Granted, DDR Extreme is an ancient game at this point <_<. So...there's a lot of minutia that goes into why accidentally removing the dance pad option accidentally lead to some...worse player enjoyment of the game

And that's fair! The only reason why I brought up the redicuolusness of the "Difficulty removal through Set/Switch" is because I went through a music game where they accidentally removed an option...which ended up making the game accidentally harder.

Koga and Erica can be done in any order but the game wants you to do Erica first in Gen1. In Gen 2 you can do Chuck, Jasmine, and Price in any order but the game wants you to follow in the order I just gave. Otherwise you'll be on the strugglebus with Price first and then breeze through Chuck last

And that really became apparent in S/V as it was supposed to be more open world...but you still had a pretty rigid path to follow to keep the challenge consistant. Granted, it's also a legacy problem dating all the way back to the first 2 gens (where the game opens up enough...but preset gym order!

All Set/Switch does is just block the Switch pokemon prompt when the opponent trainer is about to swap out their fainted mon with another one. You can just play by Set rules in S/V by say no to switching your mon...and back out of the menu when you accidentally say yes <_<

They don't like there's no toggle in games like S/V. I do agree on a compromise like a toggle, but I don't want to go back to ONLY the mons that see at least 1 turn get the XP. Granted, there was a very weird complaint about S/V removing Set/Swap for battle style...saying that it removed 'hardmode

At least while out in the ocean as the ocean's mostly "Oops, all water types!" and thus the mon(s) that are tasked with the HMs are now useless in battle on those routes

I really don't want the return of the 'classic' HMs that forced you to have HM specialists in your party to use moves that are great in the field...but are a mixed bag as a whole in actual battle. I hated the ocean in Gen3 As you need Surf, Waterfall, and dive...and they do nothing in battle!

No one should be creating partnerships with HP at this point given the ways JK Rowling is spending her money to actively harm our trans friends.

Hopefully Avalon Hill, a game studio within Hasbro, will steer free of this nonsense. I'll reach out to them and put in my 2 cents.

The more I think about it the less I like seeing so many new uses of “slop” to describe a group of games. Like “friendslop”. Like I kinda get the point, but “slop” implies that that those games were made with low effort. I don’t believe that. They’re merely chasing a trend.
