Chilli, Coconut Sweet Potato & Red Lentil Soup - Donal Skehan | EAT LIVE GO This warming curry-style soup is packed with hearty goodness and velvety sweet coconut.

Soup season off to a racing start in the Foster Skillen household with this little number:

Silky, and packs a little punch with the spices. I recommend!

In Martha’s Vineyard. It is unbelievably picturesque. But I can’t fully immerse and enjoy it because this town has NO TRAFFIC LIGHTS. And I am *too* fascinated by this.

Been a subscriber since I was 16/17 but I might have to let it go this year.

If you fancy a laugh, this afternoon we paid Β£33 for two mulled wines in a hotel in Marylebone. Didn’t check the price first because it hadn’t even entered my thoughts that a glass could be anywhere north of Β£7-8. And it was awful! Undrinkable! Sweetest thing ever to have been made by man’s hand.

@nigella.bsky.social good morning - I was wondering whether your website have the annual Christmas pudding hunt this year? Have to confess, it’s become a tradition with me!

PSA if you haven’t yet watched Colin from Accounts (iPlayer), you must. The writing and acting are sublime. It will, however, make you want a Border Terrier.

Feels like 2016 β€” except now I’m in my 30s so the generalised sense of doom is accompanied by random hip pains and not sleeping well if I have more than two glasses of wine

Do you think you could have done this as an early career scholar? Or is it now at your fingertips having taken copious notes for years, and you’re reaping the rewards?

Yes, that’s nicely observed! Especially for the audience of a general magazine. Even where I might have disagreed with some of his UKSC judgments, generally couldn’t fault his clarity and style

The president’s crimes The oldest constitution in the world was not made for the political culture of modern America. The Supreme Court’s decision in Trump v United States is a symptom of its crisis

This is a very good analysis generally, but its particular charm (for me anyway) is that Lord Sumption attacks the judgment on its own terms: trashing the majority's reading of legal history, principle and precedent.
