I just used Soundiiz to move to Tidal and it was fantastic/super easy. Tidal offers Tunemymusic for free once you sign up, but it doesn't work as well

I really need to get my website up and running.

Anything is better than Ogg Vorbis (the compressed audio format Spotify uses... everything is tinny and sad and makes your ears and brain tired)

Having spent the last few days tinkering with Tidal, I have to say the sound quality helps me listen to MORE music. My ears aren’t as fatigued and it’s been fun digging through the new service. Would recommend. /🧵

We don’t need to support technofascists. These companies rely on us gravitating to the most frictionless option and resisting change.

The Spotify audio quality has historically stunk and continues to stink. I’ve noticed a huge change jumping over to Tidal. It’s a far simpler app and caters to actual music listeners. I was also able to use Soundiiz to easily migrate all of my old playlists from Spotify to Tidal.

We have the ability to vote with our dollars and we should exercise that right. Spotify has an incredible library of content and one of the best recommendation engines around, but the GUI has become cluttered with audiobooks and podcasts being pushed on the user...

There are so many 3rd-party apps out there that help you seamlessly transfer playlists to your new streaming service of choice. None of these large music streaming services are great for the industry or great for artists, but some are better than others...

I'd also been patiently waiting for hi-res audio to come to Spotify for 4 years, and it never did… these companies really rely on users resisting change as it’s super easy to cancel your subscription. I've had a Spotify account for 10+ years and have built up a meaningful collection of playlists...

I left Spotify this past week for Tidal, spurred on partially by Gizz announcing their departure/the reasons they’ve laid out, and partially because of the AI slop appearing on the app (The Velvet Sundown should not exist). 🧵
