1. Ask your local grocery shop if they have any bruised/damaged apples they can't sell
2. Peel, core, carve
3. Sacrifice some red wine (keeping it organic means you can return them to nature)
4. Soak the apples for a long as you can be patient, at least 1 hour

A reminder that the original Hallowe'en jack o' lanterns date back to 18th century Ireland if not earlier, were based on a shady boozy blacksmith called Stingy Jack who cheated the devil & was trapped between 2 worlds, were carved from turnips and looked like this:

A black background decorated with gold illustrations of branches, stars, swords, ravens, and tiny ghost shapes. In the centre, bold text reads: “BIRDS BUT THEY GET SPOOKIER EACH TIME.” Two ravens perch on bare branches at the bottom, with candles glowing beside them.

Birds but they get spookier each time. 🎃👻

Meanwhile, a coworker recently revealed that he used to be a Soft Cell groupie which demanded an *urgent* meeting.

My cousin and I were absolutely obsessed with Soft Cell from the moment they first appeared on TOTP. She wanted to be Marc Almond and I wanted to be Dave Ball. Loved them so much - so many many good tunes.

The overwhelming number of (reputable) tattooers are pretty familiar w Nazi/racist iconography. Ive found this true in Europe and N America. They're familiar with it bc the tattoo community's reputable artists don't do that shit. I've seen artists kick people out of their shops for requesting one
