I get that, I also feel that communicators have a responsibility to anticipate how an audience is going to understand what they're saying, & it's common lately for "performance" to be used pejoratively, I guess I'm just sad about it & also want to talk about the skill of politics & effective comms

That's cool, but I think this is an opportunity to highlight a larger trend of humans wrestling with authenticity in communication in ways and at scales we have never had to before

-it's deceptive how much training you need to look effortless/natural

-the negative response to this post shows me that "performance" has taken on such a negative emphasis on its "falseness", I think because people have become paranoid in a world run by liars and are desperate for truth and honesty
