The entire pundit class has convinced people for so long that their “analysis” was somehow necessary and valuable when in reality it was just a con game to manufacture consent for bias-confirming “strategies” that only benefited the capitalist class and guaranteed pundits career security.

It’s worth considering how an Andrew Cuomo mayoralty would objectively be a disaster and everybody knows it—especially his backers. But they don’t give a shit about the day after, only thwarting the rise of any potential alternative. A striking demonstration of the nihilism of the political centre.

Here’s What Trump’s Ballroom Donors Want - The American Prospect The price tag on Donald Trump’s garish White House ballroom, now up to $350 million, keeps increasing. That’s because the cost of construction isn’t nearly as important as having an inventory of donat...

Corporate donors to the Epstein Ballroom at the White House all have needs from the government. Looking back through @prospect.org reporting, I detailed what every company actually expects to get from their investment.

This is a masterclass in repeating carefully workshopped robotic talking points that miss the forest for the trees and are irrelevant to the question at hand: Trump chose to build a ballroom instead of funding programs that would feed those kids.

A billion dollars is the socio-economic equivalent of a loose nuke, and we should work to prevent the acquisition of the former with the same urgency and ruthlessness we use to prevent the acquisition of the latter.

The only question for Mike Johnson should be "why did you dissolve Congress?" And when he predictably lies or changes the subject, repeatedly follow up with variations of "so why aren't you doing your job?"

The Speaker's opinions on anything else matter little if Congress is artificially on leave.

Supreme Court ruling: "This Court now concludes that independent expenditures, including those made by corporations, do not give rise to corruption or the appearance of corruption. That speakers may have influence over or access to elected officials does not mean that those officials are corrupt. And the appearance of influence or access will not cause the electorate to lose faith in this democracy."

Every now and then I go back and read the Citizens United ruling to see if it is as unhinged as I thought, and every time I do that I see it is actually far more deranged than I remembered.

The White House keeps making a big deal of the fact that the ballroom is privately funded but that’s one of the worst things about it.

These people and companies are buying influence. None of this is okay.

EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.

I glanced down at the message.

“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.

So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

Nearly 20 kids, two w/ cancer

More than 20 citizens held for day or more, incommunicado

One of the worst parts of this crop of billionaire ruling-class crybabies is how their money forces you to have to listen to their ideas, which sound like the kind of thing you’d hear on Thursday night at the DKE house. These guys are not smart.

She never disclosed this income on federal ethics forms.

Watching this 'Love Has No Labels' ad campaign featuring John Cena from 2015 is breaking my brain

It's not that I'm pining for time that didn't exist by mistaking an ad for a lived experience

It's the fact that boilerplate Corporate Liberalism from 10 yrs ago clears anything Dems communicate today
