Most of the fires currently burning in the Cascades are lightning caused. Per NIFC, more total fires than last year, but less acreage burned. Could have additional activity due to conditions, but we're not too far out from season ending events. SoCal, however, is just getting started.

The U.S. Govt. already tried replacing skilled migrant farmworkers with inexperienced "able-bodied" Americans. *Surprisingly*, turns out picking crops in 100° heat isn't that easy and the experiment failed.
