Germany's budget crisis is putting several vital civic education and extremism prevention projects at risk. It's concerning how few are aware of the immediate repercussions this crisis is causing.

Diese Woche durfte ich bei der super spannenden Fachtagung zum Abschluss des Projekts #JUROP #Jugend & #Europa des @idz-jena.bsky.social und der Uni Jena+@unidue.bsky.social meine erste eigene empirische Studie zur Internalisierung von demokratischen Werten bei Kindern in der Grundschule vorstellen.

Based on one interview, we delineate an alternative stance we term "committed balance", which will be the focus of upcoming research. 🤔💡🌟

Echoing Oberle et al. (2018) and others, our research further reveals two distinct types of teacher attitudes: those who narrowly limit controversial topics and those with a laissez-faire approach, accepting even extremist or anti-scientific views.
