One of the best pieces of advice for YGO I ever got was to never play defensively, as if the current turn is always my last. Anyway suck shit to the "unbeatable" full power Maliss deck (I went second, even).

It’s because there’s no Switch 2 version of the game, only Switch 1, quality nothing to do with it. For whatever reason Ubisoft opted to make it a Switch 1 only game and rely on BC.

I stayed at the Akabane Holic Hotel (which has a tattoo-friendly onsen on-site, great plus), which is sort of mid-range for that prefecture, but I've heard good things about the APA Hotel Akabane too which from what I've seen is a little bit cheaper.

I can’t offer too much advice except that it’s totally fine to stay a little further out and save a few bucks in lodgings. I stayed at a hotel in Akabane (it rocked) and it was less than half the price of something in the Shinjuku/central area, trains are cheap, fast, and plentiful.

This election will almost certainly deliver a hung parliament, thanks to the nature of proportional representation and the Hare-Clarke electoral system, so Greens and independents will most likely hold the balance of power. Make sure you pick good ones 🫡

Today is the Tasmanian state election, and while I don’t have many Tasmanian followers I think it’s important to remind people of the following:

1. Vote, please
2. Vote for people like the Greens and left-leaning independents
3. Put the Nationals last and the other majors not much higher
