I don't know why everybody is so worried about the AI bubble bursting. If it does we can simply reinflate the bubble with words like "quantum computing" and "superintelligence" and "sentient electric toothbrushes"

Surely there are a few NFTโ€™s hanging around which can be sold to fill the gap?

Including the quislings who were there and should have a) objected to his name calling and b) asked the same question over and over again.

For the love of God & all Her works can ppl stop making jokes about child abuse & Trump/Epstein? Show some empathy with survivors you ghouls.

Also NYT, โ€˜young womenโ€™ is not a synonym for girls. Stop normalising child abuse.

At least 1 in 5 adults was abused as a child.

Also by not meeting the smaller challenges along the way you strengthen your opponent, making the โ€˜real dangerโ€™ that much harder. In fact if you safely deal with the smaller challenges the real danger may never get a chance to materialise. Attrition is a thing.

I appreciate the generosity of your view. However, I think he knows only too well but he has convinced himself it doesnโ€™t matter and is now shocked at the pushback. He is too long a politician not to know better.

He had the option to recuse himself and cite privacy / client confidentiality and instead chose to present. This choice shows both himself and his party in a poor light, something I would have thought was included in his media training where public perception important.

"Ireland's presidency and New York's mayoralty are very different. But the people newly elected to those roles share striking parallels, having run positive campaigns with a vision for the future."

The worldโ€™s first trillionaire initiated a move that has left more than half a million people dead, most of whom are children.

First place I ever saw the nonsense term "biological pronouns" used was in a Genspect publication, so I'm afraid we Irish are implicated in this BS also.

But the left are doing it wrong. They are trying to solve it with humanity and empathy. It is easier to demonise, throw blame around and do nothing.

His instinct to punch down and blame the vulnerable and powerless rather than himself and the other policymakers for creating this situation shows his character or lack thereof.

It is an interesting choice to chase the 13% rather than try and appeal to the majority. 1st FG will not be able to out-right the actual right and 2nd they need to take a close look at the GOP who made a similar choice and are now a zombie party.

I think you can see the evident disgust on the part of much of the Irish political and media establishment and calls for "something to change" in the presidential election process as a desire to essentially discipline the electorate for how it voted

28.10.2025 11:02 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 262    ๐Ÿ” 52    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 5    ๐Ÿ“Œ 3

The process doesnโ€™t need to change the quality of candidates the parties put up needs to change. The difference between the support and thought the left aligned parties put into their candidate and the โ€˜sure theyโ€™ll doโ€™ attitude of FF/FG was marked

4.1m adults in Ireland and a 40% turnout. Of those, 13% spoiled, or around 213,000 ballots.

Most from people radicalised by far-right hate campaigns online, and even so, they make up only 5% of the electorate.

A loud 5% can dominate headlines but they donโ€™t define who we are.

The Taoiseach is not coming to Dublin Castle for the official declaration of Catherine Connolly's victory in the presidential election.

Whether intended or not, it's going to look very confrontational for the head of government NOT to be there to congratulate the new head of state

Ganley has failed constantly in public life. Conspirarcy theories and shouting seem to be his only response to loss.

The Gist: No contest Catherine Connolly will be our next President. This is the Gist.

New Gist: No Contest

In all of the possible universes, there was never one where Heather Humphreys was going to win a Presidential contest against Catherine Connolly.

This is the Gist.

Because some damn fool asked, here's a thread about Baxter.

This was taken on the day I brought home Baxter and threw away all hope of an easy life.

Look at him. Absolutely irresistible.

And that's how they get you, the utter bastards

Hundreds of people are reporting that leaves are falling off trees in every single area that Catherine Connolly has visited recently. Coincidence? Maybe. But can we take that risk with the presidency?

Everything I know about Enoch Burke, Conor McGregor, Maria Steen (and countless others)... I know against my will. They are constantly driving the national narrative.
So much of our media is dominated by a format of asking "Does this dipshit have a point?. We'll discuss for 3 weeks".
