I appreciate the generosity of your view. However, I think he knows only too well but he has convinced himself it doesn’t matter and is now shocked at the pushback. He is too long a politician not to know better.

The process doesn’t need to change the quality of candidates the parties put up needs to change. The difference between the support and thought the left aligned parties put into their candidate and the ‘sure they’ll do’ attitude of FF/FG was marked
