Social media has been absolutely terrible for creator/fandom dynamics and I really feel like walls need to go back up again.

All in all, there has been a very "will no one rid me of this troublesome priest" vibe around and about, just saying.

Mind, the ultimate outcome of that situation was Becket being canonized as a saint, while Henry II ended up condemned and forced to do public penance.

and the boundaries between creators and fandoms were much more rigidly enforced and far more difficult to breach.

Recent incidents have made me once again long for the days of forums and locked fandom communities, when the entire fandom wasn't jammed together into one giant conglomerate mass, hatred and hot takes weren't encouraged and rewarded by algorithms,

She was wearing a wedding dress, so idk if that was during her "I'm married to Lestat" phase, but I remember thinking how weird she looked.
