NFU secures agri-environment scheme roll over for thousands of farmers
The NFU has successfully secured a one-year extension for Countryside Stewardship Mid Tier agreements for thousands of farmers following several months of campaigning.
Defra have announced a one year extension to the Countryside Stewardship mid tier scheme - I've heard a few different reactions to this already (e.g. on Farming Today www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/... ). See this NFU article on their related campaign:
