Yah. In 78 we had power out for a couple of days but had a fireplace, blankets, and gas range we could manually light. Lotta folks out east without even that net and my heart goes out to them.

That ride saved my paper route in the wake of the blizzard. When they got the daily back out 4-5 days after, my mom piloted it around my hood slowly while I hung onto the passenger door and literally skated from mailbox to mailbox shoving in the papers.

No gloating here. Couldn’t watch the game but reading recaps it appears to have been a truly tight battle and Team Canada played a great game.

Wild history on these chains. TJ grew up in CA but was eventually bought by one side of the German Aldi clan. Aldi’s is the other side. So, connected through feuding brothers across the pond. Overall I like the Aldi side better for good basic items and pricing.
