An apple pie with incompletely eggwashed edges sits cooling on a metal tray mostly full of boiled apple overflow. The slits in the top of the pie have burst open, revealing a peak at apple guts of questionable taste. One gazes upon this pie and cannot help but to ponder if maybe an experienced baker should be hired next time.

While this IS certainly a pie, it doesn't look like I meant it to look. Ah well. Here's hoping my first pie attempt at leasts tastes right! #homemade
