Cool mushroom 🍄 #fungi

Very dusty crusty and dry, tan colored slime mold on dark brown wood chips. The slime mold’s top layer is chipped apart to reveal a brown spore-filled center.

Crumbly dog’s vomit slime mold outside my dentist’s office.

Some drying out roadside mushrooms the ones in the front can be seen that their skirts are colored by the reddish brown of their spores. Behind it can be seen green foliage with some peeking blue sky, and a thick trunk with a dark cavity.

At first glance they looked like Stemonitis but im not sure of the species

Not a mushroom 🍄

Schizophyllum commune (common name split gill) tightly packed onto a maple limb flanked by pale green Parmotrema lichen. The schizos are a beautiful cream color. The picture is taken so you can see the gills.

Two overlapping mushrooms grow from a moderately small branch. There is a background of wet, dead leaves The photograph is taken from the underside of the mushrooms, showing their very interesting pores.

Pair of Bonnet (Mycena) mushrooms with a very small Katydid nymph sitting atop one; the Bonnets are conical shaped and flattening, light gray-brown with darker striations and umbo, stem is dark and slender. The Katydid nymph is bright green and very small, but mimics the adult form of a Bush Cricket.

Silken capped russet colored mushrooms wade through fluffy green moss. Behind them spider webs in the grass collect the morning dew and soft fog.

Something something mushrooms

Artomyces pyxidatus, the crown-tipped coral mushroom, a yellow-ish branching fungus among dry brown leaves and bright green moss and grasses.

Amanda’s hand behind a very thick-stiped mushroom with beautiful reticulation. The stipe is a tannish-yellow, and the cap is a velvety brown. The cap’s width is less than the stipe’s, making it look extra round.
