Reality is exhausting.

New pen day. Unfortunately I’m struggling to enjoy it as much, even though it is very pleasant to write with, it arrived the morning after I had to make one of the hardest decisions a cat guardian can make. I’ll miss my old boy Princeton.

How does one deal with a pet having cancer? We recently took in a stray cat, he’s an incredibly affectionate one and became an adored member of the household almost immediately.

He had what looked like an abscess since he showed up and when he went in to get it drained we found out it’s cancer…

Could someone clue me into what this is referencing? Proszę

Just got a LAMY Safari, I’m surprised this wasn’t the first one I went for, as I jumped straight for an E95S fountain pen before it. (To be transparent I did get a basic starter fp before but I handed that one off to my partner).

At least it’s a nice way to close out an overwhelming day.

I am glad I now have an easy way to test inks before I choose to ink up my fountain pen with them.

I also have a new calligraphy brush that I am waiting to use as it is soaking in some water right now.

Just got my dip pen, I really love the feel of it but I am definitely in need of practice when it comes to using it. Love the Yama-budo ink that I just tried.

Trying to write the Kanji “山葡萄” while drunk was definitely *an* idea.

Ku-jaku is definitely on my list of inks to get. There are so many choices, so little time.

It’s the reason I’m looking forwards to my dip pen coming in the post, I want to be able to test my inks before inking my fountain pens with them.

Platinum preppy? Definitely going to grab one of those sometime soon.

I’ll see, pretty happy with my E95S, both the nib and the feel in the hand are excellent so I am under no pressure to find something better.

I’ve been eyeing up some cheaper TWSBI and Lamy fountain pens to have a few more options but that’s it for now.

I’ll give it a watch in the morning. Shockingly enough I am managing to go asleep at a reasonable hour.

And with that in mind I better mute my iPhone now.

Even if I move on from it, the things I purchase now will remain useful in perpetuity as fountain pens can be used as an everyday tool and feel so much nicer than other writing tools

(Un)Fortunately budget constraints that arise from my fiscal circumstances limit how far I can go with this 🤣

I have recently picked up a new hyper-fixation. So far I am loving my Pilot E95S <M> fountain pen, and I’ve tried out take-sumi and hana-ikada inks. Got a calligraphy brush and a dip pen coming in the post as well.

Having ADHD can be really expensive 😅

I’ve recently re-acquired an old hyper fixation, my bank account has become a barren wasteland after I went on a buying spree of letter writing supplies.

Why is it that when I need to sleep the most my brain decides “nope, yeah we aren’t doing that” and then throws an unfiltered deluge of thoughts at me.

Sure doing this right now isn’t helping, but I’m on hour 3 of staring at the ceiling and I think I’ve earned one rant.

People who laugh at a Tesla exploding are showing their ignorance of automotive engineering. This is a normal part of the development process, and the data gathered from the explosion will help Tesla to one day build a car that doesn’t explode

I didn’t take my ADHD meds today and now I’m staring into the abyss, wondering what to do with my life.

Yes I am referring to the ongoing twitter civil war. I wish I could enjoy it, but it’s hard to when you remember these people will soon be in control of a global superpower.
