11.12.2025 15:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0<hello, mutual appreciation society, how may I direct your call>
11.12.2025 15:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Good grief the clarity of this piece hits like ice water. This whole country still feels gripped in a political fight long since over and where most of the original combatants are dead. Worshipping monuments to dead kings. We so desperately need some actual leadership.
11.12.2025 13:32 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0"In his endorsement of Brexit trade freedoms, Starmer resembles Alec Guinnessβs half-mad colonel in The Bridge on the River Kwai, defending an edifice he has forgotten was built for the benefit of the other side."

If you think about it itβs really the fault of Remainers and the out of touch Euro elites, amirite?
11.12.2025 11:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A little bit surprising to hear Keir say βthe US says the greatest threat to Europe is uncontrolled migration and out of touch Euro elites and frankly I think that is correctβ tbh
11.12.2025 11:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Keir Starmer appears to intuit that the British people love to be deferential to American bullying, proving at least he doesnβt know the best bar in Wisconsin to find three hot sisters
11.12.2025 07:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That famous story where the Japanese captain killed American soldiers in the water, then after the war the Americans found him and said βfair enough ladβ
11.12.2025 01:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0With this kind of content Iβm expecting you to be playing a character on SNL shortly

09.12.2025 15:53 β π 414 π 125 π¬ 13 π 11Like, I voted for her and I voted for Sadiq. And I had high hopes for this government. But boy I dunno, itβs not great.
10.12.2025 22:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Saying βthe greens are mean about care workersβ would be more persuasive if this government wasnβt deliberately making the lives of immigrant care workers (current and future) much worse.
10.12.2025 22:30 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0James what is the policy prescription that this article makes that you think will cause anyone to change their mind? Like it seems to me just to be βPolanski said something dumb but weβre going to continue to be hostile to immigrantsβ
10.12.2025 18:54 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The fact that Labour think this might work makes me think they are probably cooked

10.12.2025 12:51 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My lovely Kiwi golf instructor whose partner (also Kiwi) works in the city told me theyβre very worried theyβre going to be kicked out in 2027 when his visa expires.
Like, what the actual fuck are we doing?
βHardly anyone does this well on cognitive testsβ yeah bro they only give them to people with dementia

Moscow not only strips its own people of basic freedoms but extends that repression to neighboring countries.

Have you and Michael been having some cheeky beers to share talking points??
10.12.2025 10:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Britain cannot rely on the US any more.
Which means we need to be strategically independent. The only way this happens is to start from scratch.
Trade needs to be oriented to Europe.
We need to scoop up all the brilliant scientists being driven out of America.
Mercantilism & anti-immigration policies, but with a human face. Really seems to be working great for center-left parties around the world over the last decade. Letβs do more? π€·ββοΈπ¬
10.12.2025 08:07 β π 42 π 9 π¬ 0 π 0The opportunity cost of all the wasted effort that was required to leave the EU, only to find it absolutely didnβt address any of the nationβs ills, when that couldβve been spent fixing real issues, & the cost it will take to one day rejoin. People should be in gaol; instead some are running for PM.
09.12.2025 22:24 β π 67 π 7 π¬ 1 π 0I mean it is what it is. Lots of people arenβt on here yet. Maybe theyβll join? Most of the interesting UK pol people are.
10.12.2025 07:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0They keep testing my brain because it's working so well. I'm constantly having my brain tested
10.12.2025 06:25 β π 493 π 57 π¬ 13 π 3Well I mean also (as @michael-fox.bsky.social) says, thereβs a national security imperative that we decouple ourselves from the US, on the basis that plainly and obviously we cannot rely upon the US in any way whatsoever.
10.12.2025 07:56 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In some ways this is a useful reminder that a lot of the talk of European security guarantees to Ukraine have the whole thing backwards. For more than three years Ukraine has been guaranteeing European security by fighting and degrading the Russian armed forces.

Maybe theyβre really against the modest one next to the dump and the A road in Newham?
10.12.2025 07:51 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I need you to listen to and share this story - of how Trump is preparing to abandon Ukraine in exchange for Russian money for his billionaire friends.
It could be the greatest corruption of American foreign policy in our history. Russia gets Ukraine. Trump's friends get rich.
