Imagine being rich enough to do anything you want and choosing to take food and medicine from starving children to give yourself even more money.

Love this passage, but feeling challenged by its assertion that curiosity is what compels us into unfamiliar territory.

Far more often, it is survival which pushes us into new places. Curiosity's role, I think, is to help us make the best of these new places.
