True police SUVs, two police 4x4 vehicles, and two police on foot – including one who is holding a long gun – approach community advocates along an empty parade route.

Community advocates in Cicero tried to join the annual Houbyfest parade today with a banner that read “ICE Out of Cicero: Silencio es complicidad. Solo el pueblo salva el pueblo.” They were intercepted and moved off the parade route by Cicero Police, one of whom was armed with an assault rifle.

Outside immigration court in Chicago this morning, community rally in the rain in support of Ramon Morales-Reyes, a Milwaukee man snatched by ICE and accused of writing a letter threatening President Trump.

There's just one problem: the letter was fake. Another man is now accused of forging it.
